Lisa Goes On A Wild Ride With An Iconic Disney Villain In New Poster For THE SIMPSONS: WELCOME TO THE CLUB

Disney+ has shared a new poster for the upcoming animated short The Simpsons: Welcome to the Club. The wild ride begins when the all-new short arrives on the streaming service on September 8.

Last month, Disney announced a brand new short for The Simpsons set to debut on the Disney+ streaming service on Thursday, September 8, aka Disney+ Day. The short, titled The Simpsons: Welcome to the Club," follows Lisa Simpson who on a quest to become a princess learns that being bad might be more fun.

The new poster features Lisa on a joy ride with none other than Ursula, the iconic villain from The Little Mermaid. Of course, we can expect Lisa to meet all sorts of other villains, including the Evil Queen from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.

There have been multiple shorts released for The Simpsons in recent years with crossovers extending into other Disney properties. In 2021's The Force Awakens from its Nap, Maggie Simpson goes to a Star Wars-themed daycare. Also released in 2021, The Good, The Bart, and the Loki saw the God of Mischief team up with Springfield's own mischief-maker Bart Simpson to fight against his toughest opponents in Springfield after he is banished from Asgard yet again.

The Simpsons: Welcome to the Club is just one of multiple animated specials coming to the streaming service on Disney+ day. Also debuting on September 8th will be Cars on the Road, a computer-animated series based on the Cars franchise that follows Lightning McQueen (Owen Wilson) and Mater (Larry the Cable Guy) as they embark on a cross-country road trip across the United States to attend the wedding of Mater's sister.

Another major project coming on Disney+ day is Pinocchio, a retelling of the beloved tale using a combination of live-action and CGI. Inspired by Disney's 1940 animated classic, which is based on the 1883 Italian children's novel, this upcoming retelling a tale about a wooden puppet who embarks on a thrilling adventure to become a real boy. Pinocchio stars Tom Hanks as Geppetto, Benjamin Evan Ainsworth as Pinocchio, Joseph Gordon-Levitt as Jiminy Cricket, and Cynthia Erivo as the Blur Fairy.
