Jason Scott Lee is an American actor who is known for his roles in various films. He gained recognition for his portrayal of Bruce Lee, the legendary martial artist, in the biographical film Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story (1993) and as Mowgli in Disney's live-action Jungle Book (1994) film. He also starred in a second Disney live-action remake as Böri Khan in Mulan (2020).

Now, it appears that Lee can add a third Disney live-action remake to his filmography.  Lee portrayed David Kawena in the beloved 2002 animated Disney film, Lilo & Stitch and he recently confirmed on the Kyle Meredith With... podcast that while he won't be reprising his role as David in the remake, he does have a different role in the film.

"I got a little, small [part]. They threw me some bones, and I said, ‘Yeah, absolutely! In any capacity,'” Scott said. “I just wanted to be a part of it, so it’s a three-day cameo, and I think it will be fun. I’m playing the Luau manager. I get to see the kid that’s playing my character that I voiced, David. And I’ll get to see Lilo and I’ll get to see Nani, the new people, the actors that are playing them. So it’ll be fun."

Lee joins Tia Carrere, who also appeared in the original animated film as the voice of Nani.  Chris Sanders, Lilo & Stich's original writer and director, will once again provide the voice of Stitch.  Newcomers to the franchise include Maia Kealoha as Lilo, Zach Galifianakis as Jumba, and  Billy Magnussen as Pleakley.  Carrere will pass the torch to Sydney Elizebeth Agudong, who will portray Nani.  Dean Fleischer-Camp takes over for Chris Sanders as the director of the Disney+ release.

While no release date for the project has been revealed, the production has already kicked off with on-location filming in Hawaii.
