Set in between Star Wars: Episode II — Attack of the Clones and Star Wars: Episode III — Revenge of the Sith; Star Wars: The Clone Wars is an animated series that originally aired from 2008 until cancellation in 2014. In 2018, it was announced that Star Wars: The Clone Wars would be revived for one final season on Disney's streaming service — and here we are.

Star Wars: The Clone Wars — The Final Season kicked off on February 21st with the release of the long-awaited first episode (which was titled "The Bad Batch"). The second episode is titled "A Distant Echo," and will be available to stream on Disney+ from Friday, February 28th.

The official synopsis for episode to is simply as follows: "Anakin Skywalker, Rex, and the Bad Batch make a shocking discovery on Skako Minor." The official Star Wars YouTube channel has published a clip from the upcoming second episode which sees Anakin, Captain Rex, and the Bad Batch arrive on Skako Minor where they're attacked by a gang of pterodactyl creatures.
