Earlier this summer at Annecy International Animation Festival, Walt Disney Animation Studios revealed three new shorts created in its experimental animated short prgram, Short Circuit. Similar to Pixar's SparkShorts, Short Circuit — which began in 2016 — was created to give employees at Walt Disney Animation Studios a chance to pitch their ideas for original short films and turn them into a reality.

Later this month, the talented artists and filmmakers part of Short Circuit will share their films with fans at D23. The panel, World Premiere: Walt Disney Animation Studios Presents Short Circuit, will feature the premieres of some of the Short Circuit films along with behind-the-scenes insights from the filmmakers responsible for them.

To date, there have been three Short Circuit projects announced: Just a Thought, Exchange Student, and Jing Hua. It's unclear if all three of these shorts will be shown during the panel, or if any additional previously unannounced shorts will be revealed.

In this exciting panel, Walt Disney Animation Studios will debut Short Circuit, an experimental short film program that will debut in Spring 2020 on Disney+. Talented artists and filmmakers will share their films for the first time anywhere and give behind-the-scenes insights.

Disney's Short Circuit animated shorts will be featured on Disney+ starting in spring 2020. The streaming service is set to launch on November 12 and will cost $6.99 per month or $69.99 for the year. Disney also announced a bundle option that includes Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+ for just $12.99 per month.
