For two years, fans have followed the adventures of the Paladins of Voltron as they fought to liberate the universe from the Galra Empire. It has all been leading up to this - the eighth and final season of the animated series
Voltron Legendary Defender.
During New York Comic Con, fans were treated to a teaser trailer for Season 8 of
Voltron, confirming the final season will go live on Netflix on December 14. Additionally, we also learned that Season 8 will have 13 episodes and will follow the Paladins as they prevent Honerva from carrying out her deadliest plan yet.
"After saving the Earth, the Paladins embark to prevent Honerva from setting into motion her deadliest plan yet. It’s a race against the clock as the Voltron Coalition gathers from the corners of the galaxy to defend the universe once and for all."
In addition to the teaser, we also have two promotional photos from the upcoming season. The first is of the powerful Honerva standing in front of what appears to be a giant mecha. The second image is of our beloved Paladins - Keith, Pidge, Hunk, Lance, and Alura, with Shiro in the back.
As the final season in the animated show, it's clear that DreamWorks is upping the ante. The stakes will be raised when
Voltron Legendary Defender returns to Netflix on December 14.
