After a positively received first season that told a relatively self-contained story, it remained unclear whether Amazon's Undone would receive a second season. However, after about two months since the series premiere, the fate of the series has officially been revealed.
In a surprising announcement, Amazon confirmed that the Rosa Salazar-led show will return for a sophomore outing. No other details on the program's return were revealed, but in related news, the show’s co-creator and executive producer Kate Purdy signed an exclusive deal with Amazon Studios, the particulars of which have not been disclosed.
As the first episodic television project to use rotoscoping animation for the entire story, season 1 of Undone followed a woman named Alma as she embarked on a journey, which may or may not be occurring largely in her head, across time and space to solve the mystery of her father’s death.
In addition to Salazar, Undone also stars the likes of Angelique Cabral as Alma's sister Becca Winograd-Diaz, Constance Marie as Camila Diaz, Siddharth Dhananjay as Sam, Daveed Diggs as Tunde, and Bob Odenkirk as Jacob Winograd.
