Generation V's Unova Region was the most recent to join Niantic's
Pokémon Go, but with as many creatures as there were in Pokémon Black and White - the fifth generation entries in the franchise - there has only been a fraction released and players have been yearning for the remainder. Creatures like Klink, Cubchoo, Pansear, Drilburr, Snivy, Tepig, Pansage, Panpour, and more may be available and welcome additions - but that hasn't stopped trainers from waiting to see which creature could be next.
Niantic recently announced that January would feature several events and that amongst them new Unova creatures would be making their way into the game, delivering to fans what they wanted but not announcing exactly which monsters would be making an appearance. Now, however, thanks to dataminers recently uncovering a new loading screen in the game which features multiple creatures from Unova that haven't yet been released into
Pokémon Go, it looks like players can expect at least nine new creatures (including evolutions of those shown) to add to their dex pages during the month of January.
The new creatures in the image below are Scolipede, Axew, and Sewaddle respectively. If these are being added that will also include all of their respective evolutions. For Sewaddle that means Swadloon and Leavanny, Axew evolves into Fraxure and Haxorus, with Scolipede's family including Venipede and Whirlipede. These numbers confirm at least nine additions in the month of January to the Unova dex. Check out the loading screen for yourself below.
Do you think these are the next Unova creatures to join the game? And also, have you taken the time to try the new buddy adventure feature yet? Your Pokémon companion can now join you on the map bringing along a bevy of features such as feeding your friend and having them join you when capturing.
