With the
Marvel Rising: Heart of Iron animated special right around the corner; Marvel Animation recently announced three new animated specials - one of which focuses on, the fan-favourite
Black Panther character, Shuri. A new teaser trailer released onto the
Marvel HQ YouTube channel itself reveals the upcoming specials.
The first one is named
Marvel Rising: Battle of the Bands and features Dove Cameron as Gwen Stacy, otherwise known as Ghost Spider. As you'd expect from the name, as well as the regular superheroics, Battle of the Bands will see Gwen and her band "The Mary Janes" amid a music concert.
The second portion of the teaser reveals nothing more that apparent concept art and a title:
Marvel Rising: Operation Shuri. This will naturally feature Black Panther's sister Shuri, a newcomer to the Marvel Rising franchise - along with her voice actress: Daisy Lightfoot. This special, as well as
Battle of the Bands, will be 22-minutes in length.
Marvel's website details the Shuri-centric episode as such:
"The lives of the Secret Warriors are turned upside down when faced with their latest mission: hang out with Shuri, the Crown Princess of Wakanda, and show her what it’s like to be an ordinary teenager. But nothing’s ordinary when you’re dealing with one of the smartest and most famous people on the planet."
The third special is named
Marvel Rising: Playing with Fire and will feature Tyler Posey and Cierra Ramirez as Inferno and America Chavez respectively.
"In this 44-minute special, Inferno's powers are stolen by a young and powerful villain and it's up to the Secret Warriors to defeat their new foe and help their friend. But does Inferno even WANT his powers back? Meanwhile, America Chavez, learns a lesson about friendship and family from teammate Ms. Marvel."
