Earlier today, Electronic Arts officially revealed Star Wars: Squadrons (via Gamefragger). It's an upcoming video game set in the Star Wars universe, specifically just after the events of Star Wars: Episode VI — Return of the Jedi. It will be coming to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC (via Origin, Steam, and Epic Games Store) on October 2nd, 2020.
The upcoming video game predominantly revolves around the pilots of the "galaxy far, far away..." It seems the player will assume the roles of both Rebel pilots as well as that of the Empire. So, it makes all of the sense that the game would include one of the Rebellion's greatest pilots, Hera from Star Wars Rebels.
Hera Syndulla was one of the main characters in Star Wars Rebels, essentially the leader of the Ghost crew. This is the first time we've seen Hera in canon outside of Star Wars Rebels and the animated series' art style.
Nonetheless, it's unmistakably her. You can make out her goggles and probably iconic outfit underneath a new jacket. She's a green Twi'lek, so that certainly helps with the recognisability. Fans were quick to point out her cameo appearance in the new reveal trailer for Star Wars: Squadrons.
You can head to 0:51 in the video below to see for yourself, or simply check out the screenshot that we've captured for your viewing pleasure. Hera is over on the right side, just behind another character — who may well be Admiral Raddus from Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.
