Castlevania premiered back in 2017. A second season debuted on Netflix in 2018 and a third was subsequently greenlit. The animated series is based on the video game series of the same name — specifically the instalment by the name of
Castlevania III: Dracula's Curse. Adi Shankar serves as showrunner while Warren Ellis writes.
Thankfully, Powerhouse Animation has taken to Twitter to tease the return of the
Castlevania animated series — they're the studio responsible for the awesome visuals. In a tweet, Powerhouse Animation writes out
"2020" using vampire emojis. If that wasn't explicit enough; the studio mentioned
"Castlevania Season 3" by name in another tweet soon afterwards.
Given that it seems Powerhouse Animation is hinting that the third season will premiere later this year; here's hoping more concrete information will be announced some time soon — such as the all-important release date. You can check out the relevant tweets below (via
