Disney+ will become available in November to the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and the Netherlands. It's a streaming service akin to Netflix only it will just include Disney movies and TV shows. A substantial amount of Disney's back catalogue will be added to Disney+ but it will also feature the exclusive release of exciting, new stuff.
Parrot Analytics recently did some research into which of Disney's existing shows fans are most excited to see arrive on the upcoming streaming service (via
Variety). According to their findings, both
The Simpsons and
Star Wars Rebels topped the list. Other than those two, both
Mickey Mouse Club and
DuckTales made prominence.
The research process involved,
"capturing billions of data points from a variety of sources, tracing interactions it refers to as 'demand expressions' from the likes of social media, video streaming, photo sharing, blogging, fan and critics ratings, and file sharing." So, they essentially made note of every time someone mentioned a show that's coming to Disney+.
As mentioned above, Disney+ will only be releasing in a select amount of countries. The study only took into account mentions that came from the aforementioned set of countries. To be clear, shows that are yet to debut weren't taken into account — hence why the likes of
The Mandalorian and any of the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe shows are nowhere to be seen.
