The latest tie-in operators to grace Call of Duty will be none other than '90s icons, Beavis and Butt-Head of MTV fame.

Call of Duty has steadily evolved into a crossover powerhouse, especially with the rise of its live-service titles like Warzone and Modern Warfare.

In recent years, the franchise has embraced a wide array of pop culture collaborations, teaming up with everything from iconic action franchises to music legends and athletes.

Notable additions have included Rambo, Terminator, Homelander, Daryl Dixon from The Walking Dead, Snoop Dogg, Kevin Durant, Skeletor, and even Crash Bandicoot.

This trend began back in 2010 with Call of Duty: Black Ops’ “Call of the Dead” Zombies map, which marked the series’ first major crossover by featuring real-world actors Sarah Michelle Gellar and Danny Trejo as playable characters.

Since then, collaborations have exploded in both frequency and ambition, becoming a staple of seasonal content drops.

These partnerships now play a central role in Call of Duty’s ongoing appeal, offering players a constantly refreshed experience filled with recognizable faces from across the entertainment spectrum.

Beavis and Butt-head are set to launch with the Season 4 Reloaded mid-season update, which is speculated to occur on June 26. Activision also has yet to announce how much the skins will cost.

Back in the 1990s, Beavis and Butt-Head reigned supreme as MTV’s most iconic and wildly popular animated series.

The original run of the show spanned seven seasons and 203 episodes, airing from 1993 to 1997, and helped define an era of irreverent pop culture humor as the show was infamous for its crude animation, biting satire, and hilarious music video commentary.

In 2011, creator Mike Judge revived the series for a one-season continuation on MTV, bringing the infamous slackers into a modernized world while still maintaining their signature absurdity.

Then over a decade later in 2022, Beavis and Butt-Head made another comeback, this time on Paramount+, where it was reimagined for a new generation of fans. The reboot was so well-received that it exceeded expectations on the streaming platform.

Thanks to its ongoing success, the next season will mark a return to traditional TV, with Beavis and Butt-Head officially set to air on Comedy Central.

"The iconic animated duo of Beavis and Butt-Head are back and dumber than ever! The '90s pop-culture phenomenons return, voiced by creator Mike Judge, to confound common sense, torment each other, and showcase some of the dumbest comedy imaginable."
