If Teen Titans GO! To The Movies does well at the box office, it could mean a revival for the original Teen Titans Cartoon Network series!

The voice of Raven herself, Tara Strong, took to Twitter to tease the possibility:

The original Teen Titans series ran from 2003 to 2006 on Cartoon Network, being a more mature superhero story than fans of DC animations are used to. The show ended without fitting resolution - because of this fans have been petitioning for its return ever since.

Teen Titans GO! is a much different affair, embracing absurd comedy rather than nuanced drama and high-stakes action. And while the newer series has proven to be a hit among younger audiences, most fans of the original series are unhappy with this new direction.

This is not the first tease of a possible revival for the show. Earlier this year, at WonderCon, Teen Titans GO! producer Michael Jelenic was asked if a reboot or reimagining of the original series was in the works. Jelenic told fans that a reboot of the original series was "almost guaranteed."

What do you think? Would you like to see the original Teen Titans return? Were you a fan of the animated series all those years ago?
