It looks like the live-action version of Beast Boy appearing in the DC Universe's upcoming Titans might sound a lot like the animated version of the character that's been airing on Cartoon Network for over a decade.

That's because Greg Cipes, who has voiced Beast Boy since 2013 in both Teen Titans and Teen Titans Go!, has been coaching the actor cast to portray him in Titans, Ryan Potter.

Potter actually has extensive voice acting work in his own right, having voiced Hiro Hamada in Disney's Big Hero 6.  He'll reprise the role in the upcoming Disney XD animated series.

Titans follows young heroes from across the DC Universe as they come of age and find belonging in a gritty take on the classic Teen Titans franchise. Dick Grayson and Rachel Roth, a special young girl possessed by a strange darkness, get embroiled in a conspiracy that could bring Hell on Earth. Joining them along the way are the hot-headed Starfire and lovable Beast Boy. Together they become a surrogate family and team of heroes.
