After taking a short break, Star Wars Resistance is set to resume its first season this coming Sunday on the Disney Channel, and now it appears the series' freshman outing won't be its last.

Courtesy of a new report from Deadline, we've learned that Star Wars Resistance, which premiered on the Disney Channel and DisneyNow late last year, has been renewed for a second season.

Of course, since there are still plenty of episodes left before Season 1 wraps up, no details on the sophomore season were released. However, thanks to a new trailer for the second half of Season 1, we have an action-packed look at what challenges our heroes will be facing.

The trailer, which can be viewed below, sees the First Order prepare for war and features several huge references to Star Wars: The Force Awakens, including a look at Starkiller Base and a familiar speech from General Hux.
