The Star Trek franchise has already produced a number off live-action projects, but soon the iconic sci-fi series will venture into the world of animation for a new show on CBS All Access titled Star Trek: Lower Decks.

Up until now, we haven't actually seen anything from the animated show, but during their recent panel at San Diego Comic-Con, the streaming service unveiled the first official look at the series from Rick and Morty writer Mike McMahan.

While these newly released images give fans of the franchise a look at the show's art style, they also reveal that Tawny Newsome, Jack Quaid, Noël Wells, Eugene Cordero, Dawnn Lewis, Jerry O’Connell, and Gillian Vigman will make up Lower Decks' voice cast.

Along with these exciting reveals, McMahan shared some new details on the story. Specifically, he confirmed the series will be set in the year 2380 and will focus on Starfleet's least important ship, USS Cerritos.
