Nothing is off limits when it comes to
South Park and that includes the constant sexual scandals surrounding the Catholic Church. Comedy Central has released a sneak peek clip at the upcoming episode, "
A Boy and a Priest," and it appears the boys are missing. That can mean only one thing when it comes to
South Park - somebody call the priest. The adult animated comedy has never shied away from religion as a topic and this week it's the Catholic Church's time to get roasted.
In the clip below, a frantic Randy Marsh calls Steven in a panic as he searches for the missing boys (presumably Stan, Kyle, Cartman, and Butters) who have gone camping with "the priest." Steven has quite the zinger in response which even gets a laugh out of Randy.
A very special relationship has developed between Butters and the Parish Priest. When the town finds the church doors locked and no sign of the pair, they call in the Catholic Church.
South Park, now in its 22nd season, doesn't appear to be holding its punches this season. Last week's premiere episode poked fun at the ridiculous outrage culture we find ourselves in as Randy, unable to cope with Sharon's constant overreacting, attempted to get his wife's emotions under control. This week, South Park will take on the Catholic Church, a subject that lends itself to being parodied with all of the turmoil and drama surrounding it. "A Boy and a Priest" will air Wednesday, October 3 at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT on Comedy Central.
