For the second year in a row, Marvel Studios will be absent at San Diego Comic-Con, however, the television and comic book side of the publisher's brand will still have their usual presence.  That includes Sony's animated Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse flick, which will be part of the studio's Hall H presentation alongside Tom Hardy's Venom.

Exclusive footage from both films will be shown on Friday, July 20 at 6:15 PM.

Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse is directed by the trio of veteran storyboard artist Bob Persichetti, Peter Ramsey (Rise of the Guardians director), and Rodney Rothman (22 Jump Street screenwriter).
