When Sega was promoting the release of the Sonic Mania Plus video game, they began releasing episodes for a short animated series called Sonic Mania Adventures, which consisted of 5 very short episodes and one Christmas special.

The series was directed by Tyson Hesse and produced by Yukio Kusumoto, and was extremely well-received by Sonic the Hedgehog fans; this mainly because of how accurate the representation was, and the charming nature of every episode.

As we draw closer to Christmas, Sega has decided to start celebrating a little bit earlier than usual, and today they have released another short animation; the second Christmas special directed by Tyson Hesse, to be more precise.

This brand-new episode is no longer featuring Classic Sonic, but is introducing us to Modern Sonic instead — who's taking care of a sleeping Chao who dreams about a space adventure; Dr. Robotnik, however, is up to no good.
