Skull Island is set to premiere later this month on Netflix, and Legendary has released a full trailer for its MonsterVerse-set animated series.
Set after the events of the live-action Kong: Skull Island movie, the plot follows a group of explorers who rescue a mysterious girl from drowning in the ocean, without realizing that they're heading for the most dangerous place on Earth.
Skull Island is home to all manner of strange creatures and terrifying monsters, including the greatest titan of them all: the giant gorilla known as Kong.
Created, written, and produced by Brian Duffield, the voice cast features Nicolas Cantu (Dragons Rescue Riders: Heroes of the Sky, The Fabelmans) as main protagonist, Charlie. Joining him are Mae Whitman (Family Guy, DC Super Hero Girls) as Annie; Darren Barnet (Never Have I Ever, Samurai Rabbit: The Usagi Chronicles) as Mike; Benjamin Bratt (Poker Face, Coco) as Cap; and Betty Gilpin (Mrs. Davis, Glow) as Irene.
