War is coming. Season 2 of Dreamworks' animated series She-Ra and the Princesses of Power is set to return to Netflix next month, and we finally got a glimpse of what's in store for the highly anticipated sophomore season.

A new trailer was released at WonderCon this weekend along with a synopsis teasing Adora's readiness to accept her destiny as the legendary warrior princess and rise up as leader of the Princess Rebellion. With the Horde threat growing and Catra sinking deeper into evil, a full-blown war is brewing.

Firmly at the lead of the Princess Alliance, Adora embarks on a quest of self-discovery to learn more about her past and her future as She-Ra. With Catra rising the ranks of the Horde, the Rebellion must fight to thwart her next attack.

She-Ra and the Princesses of Power started off as an animated web television series developed by Noelle Stevenson. The first season premiered on Netflix in November 2018 and was praised for its visuals, layered writing, and multidimensional characters. The show follows the adventures of Adora, a teenager who joins the rebellion and leads a group of magical princesses against the evil Hordak and his Horde.

Season 2 of She-Ra and the Princesses of Power will premiere on Netflix on April 26, 2019.
