Sonic the Hedgehog will race into theatres on February 14th but it seems SEGA have more in store for the Sonic fanbase this year than just a live-action feature film. Recently, the game developer took to social media to thank fans for their support. "Here's to the next chapter!" the tweet read — as you can see below (via Gamefragger).

However, that isn't where interest in this tweet dies down. Attached was a video which features footage of conventions, Sonic the Hedgehog games, and the like. Again; it seems pretty standard at first but there's actually more to it than meets the eye. Fans were able to uncover hidden messages from within the video.

Social media and PR head Aaron Webber confirmed this find before TailsChannel compiled all of the messages into a single tweet — which you can see below. As for the meaning of the cryptic messages, fans seem to believe it has something to do with a follow-up to Sonic Mania (the first instalment of which began development in 2015). What do you think?
