Ever since the Season 3 episode of
Rick and Morty titled
The ABC's of Beth, fans of the Adult Swim show have wondered whether Beth Smith took the chance her father gave her to live a free life while leaving a clone in her place.
Die-hard fans of the series have been picking apart little bits in episodes of the series ever since trying to prove one way or another that she is human - or not. The latest episode of
Rick and Morty titled
Rattlestar Ricklactica was not only the mid-season finale for Season 4 - but it also featured what many fans found to be a big clue to the clone conspiracy.
The next part contains spoilers for the latest episode of
Rick and Morty - just so you've been properly warned. During
Rattlestar Ricklactica there is a quick moment where Rick Sanchez pauses his daughter with a remote - something that would make it seem obvious to some that she is, in fact, a clone.
However, Rick explained the situation by saying that Christopher Walken had lent him the remote, an obvious reference to the time-bending movie
Click. Counteracting that argument though, the episode features a blink-and-you'll-miss-it shot of a box in Rick's garage labeled "Time Travel Stuff" something that Rick is known to try to avoid.
Also, Rick has previously been seen to be able to pause all of time - with the exception of himself, Morty, and Summer - but this does seem different.
