Entertainment Weekly recently did an interview with Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon. This pair are the creative minds behind the popular animated series by the name of
Rick and Morty.
The dynamic duo revealed some information about the upcoming and highly anticipated future of the show. They revealed how many episodes season four will consist of as well as some celebrities
who will be making cameo appearances.
On that note; back in May, the aformentioned pair were quoted as saying that they'd love for Kanye West to feature in an upcoming episode. This was after the rapper revealed that he's a big fan of
Rick and Morty.
"We f**king love Kanye, man. He’s a kindred spirit... If that guy had the support to do all the ideas he has in his head, it would be Elon Musk 2.0,” Roiland said during the WarnerMedia upfronts. Harmon followed that up with the following:
"I’m giving him an episode, I’m making it official. We have 70, he can have one. Kanye, you can have an episode."
In their recent interview, EW asked the creators of
Rick and Morty whether anything came about on account of that invitation. Roiland explained that they're doing some scheduling and that, if West were to feature in an episode, it wouldn't be within season four.
“We’re trying to schedule something. It’s not going to be for this batch coming up. But we love the idea of doing something with him. It’s just a discussion of what exactly that is, and then sitting down and talking with him. He had to reschedule, and then we had to reschedule. We need to sit down and chat about it. But it’s a very sincere and legitimate offer when we threw that out."
