Primal is an upcoming animated series from Genndy Tartakovsky. The director and animator is best known for creating Dexter's Laboratory, Samurai Jack, 2003's Star Wars: Clone Wars, and much more. His newest show is set to debut on Adult Swim at midnight on October 7th.

The cartoon is only a limited series so will only consist of five episodes. An episode will release each day following the debut of the series. Primal will follow a caveman attempting to survive in a prehistoric world that's full to the brim with dinosaurs and danger. It will be brutal and realistic, hence the gore and lack of speaking — there will be no lines spoken whatsoever throughout the entire series.

Recently, Adult Swim released a clip from Primal which sees our lead caveman on the hunt for lunch. However, his chasing of a warthog is interupted by a Tyrannosaurus Rex who's also hungry for pork. The clip shows off the visual storytelling and stunning animation that will be at play throughout Primal.
