One of the best cartoons we’ve come across as a child was PowerPuff Girls. It was a series that first showed its pretty head back on November 18, 1998, and to this day, it’s still considered as a much watch for children worldwide.
Today, the series in 20-years-old, which is a huge milestone. New episodes are no longer being developed, but that doesn’t matter one bit because PowerPuff Girls has left its mark on humanity.
The PowerPuff Girls came at a time when creators just wanted to make a fun cartoon for children to watch. Despite the name, the cartoon was also quite fun for boys, and that is why it is still remembered to this very day because it didn’t cater only to a single gender.
As many of us should know by now, the PowerPuff Girls cartoon series centered around the lives of three kindergarten students; Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup. Their beloved father, Professor Utonium, plays a huge role as well.
You see, the girls didn’t enter this world naturally, and that’s because they were created by Professor Utonium. His intention was to create the perfect little girls, so he added ingredients such as "sugar, spice, and everything nice." However, something went wrong and he accidentally added “Chemical X” into the mix, which is the reason the girls were born with superpowers.
For many episodes, the girls would save the city of Townsville from dangerous monsters, and the ever smarty pants, Mojo Jojo. There’s no other who kicks ass better than these beautiful girls.
Chemical X is poop and we can prove it
This might come as a shock, but we’ve figured out the ingredients of Chemical X. In episode 12 of Season 1, Mojo Jojo was in prison after being put there by the girls. During this time, he pondered how to fight fire with fire, and that’s where he managed to learn how the girls were made.
Instead of using “sugar, spice, and everything nice,” Mojo Jojo used “snips and snails, and a puppy dog tail.” Right away he realizes he doesn’t have Chemical X, but then Mojo Jojo looked to his toilet, inhaled the poopy fragrance, and concluded that this is indeed Chemical X.
He dropped the ingredients into the toilet, flushed it down, and voila, the Rowdyruff Boys were born.
