After having been announced during January's Pokémon Direct presentation, Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX has finlly become available, exclusively for the Nintendo Switch, for players to enjoy this rather unique, albeit charming story.

Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX is actually a spin-off title that has players taking the role of a Pokémon instead of a Pokémon trainer, and this is exactly what gives this game a fairly more interesting premise than the one players usually find in the mainline series of games.

Since Rescue Team DX is actually a remastered version of Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team Red & Blue, players who already had the chance to play the original games have a pretty good idea of what to expect from this new version.

For those players who may be new to the series, or even those who played the original games back when they released and want to be reminded of a few tricks, Nintendo has released an overview trailer that teaches us pretty much everything we need to know about Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX.

Have a look:

What if you woke up one day, and you were a Pokémon? You can meet and recruit over 400 Pokémon in a dungeon-crawling adventure within their world! Build a rescue team to take on mysterious, changing dungeons and strategically plan your moves as you venture forth to make the Pokémon world a safer place…and uncover your true purpose along the way.

Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX is currently available exclusively for the Nintendo Switch.
