Today marks yet another Community Day Event in the world of
Pokémon Go. This means its time for Trainers to dress as warm as possible and head out to their closest parks to meet up with other players in the community and reap the latest rewards provided by Niantic, the developer of the popular mobile game.
This month those rewards are centered around a popular Rock-Type creature from Generation I, the Rhyhorn family. Including Rhydon and the much stronger Rhyperior, this event will allow trainers the chance to gather as much candy as possible to feed their monstrous Rhyperior - Pokémon that are often powerhouses in battle. Star Pieces will be great for popping also as the bonus that will be live is three times catch stardust.
During the event anyone who evolves a Rhyperior will notice that their buddy has learned a special move in the form of Rock Wrecker. It is definitely worth having for Trainers that plan to utilize their Rhyperior so evolving your highest IV and strongest creatures up to two hours after the event is important. Also be on the lookout for any Shiny Rhyhorn as they will be on the run during this time.
Trainers in the Northern Hempisphere will celebrate the Community Day Event from 11 am to 2 pm and trainers in the Southern Hemisphere will celebrate from 3 pm to 6 pm as has been the case this year. The Rhyhorn event marks the first time that Niantic has allowed players to have a say in what creature will be featured, and the developer claims they will evaluate to judge whether or not to continue implementing the feature in the future.
