Up until now when
Pokémon Go has had a Community Day Event, each region has been held responsible for tracking their own event times by converting North American PT times to their own. For the upcoming event in March, and probably all those coming after, the Community Day Event will be hosted during 3-6 PM local time for everyone, making it easier for Trainers to figure out when to play.
Taking place on March 23rd, the event will feature a Grass/Type Starter Pokémon frrom the third Generation of creatures, named
Treecko. Treecko will be quite common during the event as usual, with the chance of a shiny popping up. Also, any Treecko who reach their full potential, Sceptile, within up to an hour after the event ends will learn a specific move only available at that time. This move may be Frenzy Plant due to Niantic's past actions with Grass Pokémon on community days, but there have been no specific confirmations regarding that as of yet.
In the meantime, Latias, the Eon Pokémon, has decided to linger a while longer, appearing in Raid Battles until March 1st. Get out there and grab one before it's too late!
