Four of Nickelodeon's most popular preschool shows have been renewed for more seasons (via
Comicbook.com). The shows which have had more seasons ordered are as follows:
PAW Patrol,
Bubble Guppies,
Abby Hatcher, and
Butterbean's Cafe. This is as well as new shows that are
coming down the pipeline like
Blue's Clues & You.
The renewal means that
PAW Patrol will reach its seventh season, while
Bubble Guppies is at its fifth, and
Abby Hatcher and
Butterbean's Cafe will both get a second.
The seventh season of PAW Patrol will reportedly see the gang of pups imbued with superpowers when the villain known as Copycat makes a return to Adventure Bay. As well as superheroics, it's said that the season will see the dogs explore Dino Land where they will meet a new character by the name of Rex. The show's focus is on citizenship, social skills and problem solving.
Bubble Guppies' fifth season will also consist of 26 episodes, each of which will be thirty minutes in length. The new season will introduce a new guppy by the name of Zooli. The following are what this show's focus is on: kindergarten readiness, including math, literacy, the arts, science and socio-emotional development.
Season two of
Abby Hatcher will consist of 26 episodes and feature a social-emotional curriculum highlighting empathy, compassion and problem-solving skills.
Butterbean's Cafe will have 20 half-hour episodes in its new season and teach social-emotional lessons that highlight kindness and gratitude, and leadership skills.
