Trainers in Pokémon Go have done their best for the past two years to guess which creatures Niantic would be featuring in the upcoming Community Day Events, but now thanks to the game's latest feature, fans won't have to do any more guesswork.

A new voting system is being implemented for the February Community Day event - and while it isn't to say that it will be a permanent fixture, that is probably something that will be decided depending on how smooth the event goes over.

For the first time in the history of the mobile game, Niantic has announced that they want the trainers to choose which creature gets the spotlight for February's event. Players will be allowed to choose from Vulpix, Rhyhorn, Dratini, and Machop - all of which were introduced in Generation I, leading to speculation that March could see voting between Johto creatures. The Pokémon will learn the following moves upon evolution.

Vulpix - Weather Ball
Machop - Payback
Rhyhorn - Rock Wrecker
Dratini - Superpower

February 1st is when the voting process takes place and it will work via Field Research so that players will have to get out and play in order to chime in with their opinion. All Pokestops will have Field Research which will allow the trainer to vote, with each of the following Field Research tasks acting as an individual vote for the related Pokémon. Remember, trainers are only limited by the number of tasks they complete, and players will also receive 200 Stardust in addition to each vote! Take a look at list of tasks and corresponding votes below!

Vote For Machop Community Day - Catch 20 Pokémon
Vote For Vulpix Community Day - Catch 20 Pokémon
Vote For Rhyhorn Community Day - Catch 20 Pokémon
Vote For Dratini Community Day - Catch 20 Pokémon

Niantic will announce the winner in game on Pokémon Go two days after voting closes, on February 3rd, while the Community Day event itself will be held on February 22. Which of these creatures do you hope to see make the cut? Let us know your thoughts in the comments!
