The New Year is almost upon us which means new events in
Pokémon Go. Niantic has officially announced that one of the things players can look forward to is another batch of new Generation V creatures from the Unova Region would be making their way into the game to join the rest of their
Pokémon Black and
White pals. Details on exactly which creatures Niantic is planning to release haven't been dropped yet, but that doesn't make the mere idea of having new creatures obtainable for trainers to add to the pages of their dex any less welcome.
In addition to the Unova Pokémon being released, the Adventure Sync Hatchathon event is also making its way back into the game come January as well. Players will be given the chance to walk a certain distance in order to earn rewards like Rare Candies, extra Stardust, and Unova stones - the latter of which having been quite difficult to obtain up until now and being required to evolve several species. This event will help trainers who feel their dex pages are limited by the few amount of stones have an extra chance to capture those elusive evolutions.
Pokémon will be sporting party hats in the wild and also hatching from eggs in celebration of the new year - offering variants for collecters to get their hands on. The Adventure Sync Hatchathon returns on January 2nd, 2020 at 1pm PST and will run for two weeks until January 16th, 2020 at 1pm PST.
