This month has been gifting trainers in
Pokémon Go by presenting fans with events to participate in - making sure that any snow or cold days won't stop players from heading out to play.
After the Team Rocket Takeover and the Buddy Adventure feature were recently added after Generation V creatures hit the mobile game - and now players get to participate in a special raid weekend challenge. The legendary birds from the second generation of titles in the mainline series of games, Ho-Oh and Lugia, will be present for the event - offering players another opportunity to get a shiny version of either.
The special raid weekend challenge event has already begun and is officially underway - running from today, December 20th, through December 23rd.
If you're heading out to take these birds down you're going to need a strong team. Recommended Pokémon to face Lugia are Darkrai, Giritina (Origin), Weavile, Magnezone, Tyranitar, in that order. Meanwhile, anybody heading out to match wits with the legendary Ho-Oh would feature Pokémon such as Rampardos, Electrivire, Terrakion, Rhyperior, Aggron - in that order.
