Of all of the Marvel Universe villains, one of the villains that most fans would have never expected to get such attention has been M.O.D.O.K. From being the leading antagonist in this year's video game, Marvel's Avengers, to a fairly consistent presence on some of the past animated shows, this big head has gotten a lot of love in media.
Surprisingly, it doesn't look like it is stopping there as a new animated series from Marvel is coming to the streaming service, Hulu, centered entirely around the character! Marvel's M.O.D.O.K. follows the character (voiced by Patton Oswalt) as he experiences something that can only be compared to a midlife crisis.
The series will be joining another animated project form Marvel titled, What If? which could even potentially start a new age of animation for the company. However, this new show will be animated entirely in stop motion and, according to Oswalt, is planning to release early next year!
According to the actor, “The episodes have been written. They’ve been recorded. Now they’re being animated. And because we committed very hard to the stop-motion aspect to it and we’re really packing every frame with crazy detail,” he continued by giving an estimate of the release date adding; “It’s looking like it’ll be early next year, but I don’t know the exact date yet.” There is still a lot to unearth about this project, but we would love to hear your thoughts on the news in the usual spot!
In “Marvel’s M.O.D.O.K.,” the megalomaniacal supervillain M.O.D.O.K. (Patton Oswalt) has long pursued his dream of one day conquering the world. But after years of setbacks and failures fighting the Earth’s mightiest heroes, M.O.D.O.K. has run his evil organization A.I.M. into the ground. Ousted as A.I.M.’s leader, while also dealing with his crumbling marriage and family life, the Mental Organism Designed Only for Killing is set to confront his greatest challenge yet: a midlife crisis!
M.O.D.O.K. is coming to Hulu in early 2021!
