The news is still fresh that streaming giant Hulu and massively popular and successful entertainment company Marvel have teamed up to create adult animation shows. Here we learn more about one.

Disney Exec Bob Iger recently mentioned that Hulu was a great place for R Rated Content, and while that might give fans hope that the Marvel's Defenders shows could appear there in the future, the current focus for the entertainment company has shifted to adult animation.

Adult animation has become very popular in recent years, with shows like Bob's Burgers and Rick and Morty leading the charge and Hulu seems to be the right streaming service for them all. While Marvel plans to bring great new content connected to the MCU on their Disney+ Streaming Service once it is launched, Disney also owns 60% stock in Hulu after the Fox deal, which gives them a place for their adult content, such as the newly announce run of animated series to come.

Culminating in Marvel's The Offenders, an obvious stab at the recently lost Netflic corner of the MCU, Hulu will be hosting Marvel's Tigra and Dazzler Show, Marvel's Howard the Duck, Marvel's Hit-Monkey, and Marvel's M.O.D.O.K., each with their own wisely chosed creative teams to perfectly match the people working on the shows with characters being brought to life.

Much like Chelsea Handler with Dazzler and Kevin Smith with Howard the Duck, Patton Oswalt is the perfect fit to work on the M.O.D.O.K. series. As you can see below from his comments when speaking with the official Marvel site, he has love for the character and is ecstatic, but his comments also seem to point to the fact that he will be voicing the title character as well - something fans expected the moment they heard of his involvement.

“I could not be more excited for you guys to see what we do with M.O.D.O.K. He’s the character I was, sadly, born to play.”

Oswalt isnt the only creator, of course, as he is working with Jordan Blum (Community, American Dad) and his excitement is also in his rather touching words below.

“Who is M.O.D.O.K. to me? Well, you have to start at his creation. I find M.O.D.O.K. to be just as iconic as all the other classic Jack Kirby / Stan Lee collaborations. Kirby’s design is the stuff of nightmares yet he’s also somehow… slightly adorable? Stan Lee wrote him as this amazing flawed character, always being undone by his inflated ego and thin skin. Over the years he’s been portrayed as both a menace and a joke and I think our show is much more interested in exploring him as a human being. A human being who’s also a Mental Organism Designed Only for Killing! At the end of the day M.O.D.O.K. is a giant-headed, petulant, insecure, egomaniac with zero social skills. And I for one find that incredibly relatable.”

What do you think of this pair being tasked to bring the Mechanized Organism Designed Only For Killing to life? More importantly, does this confirm Oswalt as the voice of the character? We certainly hope so, and it definitely seems the case.

Marvel's M.O.D.O.K. centers around an egomaniacal supervillain with a really big head and a really little body who struggles to maintain control of his evil organization and his demanding family. Writers Jordan Blum and Patton Oswalt will also Executive Produce alongside Jeph Loeb.

Marvel's M.O.D.O.K. currently has no release date on Hulu.
