MARVEL'S HIT-MONKEY Trailer Reveals November Release - Jason Sudeikis, Olivia Munn & George Takei Lead Cast

Before Marvel Studios bridged the gap between the large and small screens through Disney+, there were other Marvel television projects overseen by different teams. In an age that predates WandaVision, Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Loki, What If..?, and Hawkeye, there were many Marvel outings on the small screen, though none of them were in the prime MCU timeline.

Arguments have been made whether or not Marvel television projects like Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Agent Carter, Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, The Punisher, The Defenders, Runaways, Helstrom, and Cloak and Dagger were canon or MCU-adjacent before the Disney+ era. Now that Loki and What If...? have begun exploring the multi-verse, technically, everything is canon with their own respective timelines.

The last push on the Marvel television side of things was an animated counterpart to the Marvel Netflix shows with Hulu announcing The Offenders - a major crossover that would bring together the animated solo series of M.O.D.O.K., Howard the Duck, Tigra and Dazzler, and Hit-Monkey. Once Kevin Feige took over on the TV side, things quickly changed with Howard the Duck, Tigra and Dazzler, and The Offenders all getting the ax.

Obviously, M.O.D.O.K. survived as ten episodes are currently available to stream on Hulu. The Patton Oswalt-led comedy was brought to life with the help of the team behind Robot Chicken, and it worked perfectly for the stop-motion aesthetic.

Strangely enough, the only other animated series to not be canceled is Hit-Monkey, an obscure character from the comics. Despite the other cancellations, a new trailer from Hulu has confirmed that the series is still on track for a November release, also revealing Jason Sudeikis, George Takei, and Olivia Munn as cast members.

Be sure to check out the trailer and synopsis for Marvel's Hit-Monkey below and as always, share your thoughts in the usual spot!

A world-weary Assassin who's made some unbelievably poor life choices. He drowns his sorrows in work, travel, and gambling but when it comes to doing hits, there's no one better. After he's killed in the Japanese Alps, the ghost of Bryce and Monkey are tied together on a revenge quest.

Marvel's Hit-Monkey premieres on November 17th, only on Hulu.
