During San Diego Comic-Con 2019, Marvel Studios took to the stage of Hall H to reveal some intriguing, new details about their upcoming What If...? animated series (via Comicbook.com). What If...? will be released via, Disney's upcoming streaming service, Disney+ and see many actors of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (Iron Man, Thor Ragnarok, Avengers: Endgame, etc.) reprise their roles.

It'll tell various tales of alternate routes that the fictional universe could've taken if something were different, for instance: What if Agent Peggy Carter had become Captain America instead of Steve Rogers?

The SDCC panel saw the unveiling of a brand new logo, that you can see above. Kevin Feige, the head of Marvel Studios, also revealed that Jeffrey Wright (Westworld) will voice the character of The Watcher in the upcoming series.

Wright promptly came onto the stage to talk about his character: "The Watcher is a non-earthly being who observes all things. He's watching over the multiverse and occasionally may or may not intervene with the doings of Earthlings. Other than that, he's off doing his own thing."

What If...? will debut on Disney+ in Summer 2021.
