Madagascar: A Little Wild initially hit the streamwaves late last year with a modest six-episode run. The series captured enough attention to warrant a Halloween special, another season in December 2020, and then its third season in May of this year. Now, we're coming on a fourth season and to tease that, DreamWorks dropped a promo you can watch below.
The series follows zoo-bound Alex and co in their early years, something kind of akin to Paramount Plus' Kamp Koral: SpongeBob's Under Years, which launched with the rebranding earlier this year. We get to see the exploits that the four find themselves in while living in the park that we all know they called home.
The promo isn't too out of the ordinary, but it does indicate a special guest set to appear during this season of six episodes. This guest being Grammy Award winning Alanis Morissette as the talented yet stage fright ridden hermit crab, Starlene.
The 3DCG animated series was created by Dana Starfield, who has a storied history with animated family and kids shows, having worked on the likes of Victor & Valentino, Barbie Dreamhouse Adventure, and Monster High: Welcome to Monster High.
We can expect the new season of Madagascar: A Little Wild to hit both Peacock and Hulu on August 6.
