Netflix has dropped the first trailer for its forthcoming animated anthology series, Love Death + Robots, and it looks absolutely bonkers. But would you expect anything less from the brilliant minds of Tim Miller and David Fincher, who joined forces to create this intriguing animated series for the streaming giant?

The minute-long (probably NSFW) trailer is as disturbing as it is intriguing as we're hit with shot after shot teasing bizarre characters and surreal scenarios. Filled with gore, sex, and violence, Love Death + Robots is a series that "draws inspiration from the eclectic and provocative comic book material from the 1970s that influenced both Miller’s and Fincher’s formative interests in storytelling," the press release reads.



Sentient dairy products, werewolf soldiers, robots gone wild, garbage monsters, cyborg bounty hunters, alien spiders and blood-thirsty demons from hell - all converge in eighteen NSFW animated stories.

Created by filmmakers from around the world, episodes of Love Death + Robots will cover various adult topics such as "racism, government, war, free will, and human nature." The stories will span different genres like science fiction, horror, fantasy, and even comedy, and will feature their own unique animation style ranging from "traditional 2D to photo-real 3d CGI." Love, Death + Robots will premiere on Netflix on March 15, 2019.
