Comedy worlds collide with a new collaboration between Community and Rick and Morty's Dan Harmon and It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia's Danny DeVito. Harmon is set to executive produce a brand new animated series called Little Demon which will see not only Danny DeVito but also his daughter, Lucy DeVito, voice star.
Little Demon has been picked up by FXX for FX and Hulu, streaming the series alongside Harmon's Rick and Morty for the latter. The show sees Danny DeVito voice Satan as he tries to reclaim his child, who his real-life daughter is set to portray.
Nick Grad, President of Original Programming for FX Entertainment made the following comment regarding the upcoming series.
“Little Demon is a hilarious new animated horror-comedy featuring Danny DeVito, Aubrey Plaza, Lucy DeVito, and a host of other great talent. Creators Darcy Fowler, Seth Kirschner, and Kieran Valla have teamed up with Danny, Aubrey, Dan Harmon, Jake, and Lucy DeVito, and ShadowMachine as executive producers on this unique new series for FXX.”
The show will also feature Aubrey Plaza as the reluctant mother in addition to her executive producing alongside Harmon. The four main players can be seen in the image below, follows by Little Demon's official synopsis.
Created by Darcy Fowler, Seth Kirschner and Kieran Valla, in Little Demon, 13 years after being impregnated by the Devil (Danny DeVito), a reluctant mother (Plaza) and her Antichrist daughter (Lucy DeVito) attempt to live an ordinary life in Delaware, but are constantly thwarted by monstrous forces, including Satan, who yearns for custody of his daughter’s soul.
