Marvel has already brought a number of popular characters to the small screen for some exciting animated adventures, and now a new superhero series has been officially announced.

During the D23 Expo, executive producer Laurence Fishburne officially revealed that a Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur series will be coming to the Disney Channel, with Jeff Howard (Planes) and Kate Kondell (First Daughter) attached as co-producers and story editors.

Not much else was revealed about the show, but it was confirmed that, much like the Marvel Comics series, the program will focus on "13-year-old super-genius Lunella Lafayette and her ten-ton T-Rex, Devil Dinosaur."

While Lunella Lafayette made her debut in Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur #1, her prehistoric companion, first appeared in Jack Kirby's Moon-Boy and Devil Dinosaur series.
