Zack Snyder last animated venture was 2010's Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole, but soon the Justice League director will be jumping back into the world of animation, as he gets set for a new anime series at Netflix based on Norse mythology.

This project will see the director partner with Jay Oliva (Batman: The Dark Knight Returns, Justice League Dark), who will act as a writer and showrunner along with Snyder. However, unlike Zack Snyder, Oliva will also serve as a director on the show.

While this new anime series is their most recent partnership, Oliva and Snyder have worked together on a number of films, including the divisive DC movie Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

There are currently no other details on the Netflix show, but Snyder is currently working on the feature film Army of the Dead for the streaming giant, while Oliva is producing Trese, another anime series being developed at the platform.
