Amid the current obsession with reboots and remakes, the star of a classic animated DC series had called for another. Michael Rosenbaum is most well-known for playing Lex Luthor on The CW's
Smallville, another DC property he featured in was the iconic
Justice League animated series from the early 2000s.
This animated series featured Rosenbaum as The Flash, George Newbern as Superman, Kevin Conroy as Batman, Susan Eisenberg as Wonder Woman, Maria Canals-Barrera as Hawkgirl, Carl Lumbly as Martian Manhunter, and Phil LaMarr as Green Lantern. The latter voice actor recently posted a tweet which sparked the beckoning of a revival series.
Rosenbaum (
@michaelrosenbum) kicked it up a notch, retweeting LaMarr's cast photo and publicly calling for Warner Bros. to bring the Justice League animated series back.
"Warner Brothers, kindly remove head out of butt cheeks and let's do a reunion. It would cost nothing. Let's roll!!!!" #JusticeLeagueReunion."
There's absolutely no way to tell whether this sudden surge of interest in a Justice League reunion will influence Warner Bros. in the slightest. Though they did bring back
Young Justice on their new streaming service and are seemingly going to do the same with the original
Teen Titans show.
