Cresselia, the Pshychic Legendary Lunar Pokémon, began appearing as a Level 5 Raid Boss this month in
Pokémon Go, following up the previous Sinnoh Region Legendary, Giratina who has now gone. In turn, even though Cresselia is around now, it too will be leaving soon, meaning time is limited.
Now, trainers shouldn't just run out and jump into the first Cresselia Raid they find hoping to claim one and fill another Gen 4 page in their Pokédex. No one is able to defeat Cresselia on their own, just like all the previous Legendaries that have been released before this. You will need to gather a large collective team to beat the creature. If you have trouble, try bringing some Dark, Bug, and Ghost types with you to up your chances.
After you succesfully defeat Cresselia with your victorious team, you will have an opportunity to catch the gorgeous Pokémon, but only using the premier balls you earn post-battle. It will be incredibly difficult to capture as you will
only be able to use the balls that you earn, so be prepared for potential failure and mutiple tries.
Mewtwo and the Legendary Birds - Zapdos, Articuno, and Moltres - way back in Generation One were the first Legendary Pokémon that were introduced. After that were the Legendary Dogs and so on for Generations to come. Now that
Pokémon Go is finally bringing Generation 4 Pokémon, Giratina was introduced and now Cresselia has time to shine.
Cresselia will only be shining in Raids until December 18. Will you meet the challenge?
