Season 1 of Invincible television series, which is based on the comic from Robert Kirkman, Cory Walker, and Ryan Ottley premiered on March 25, 2021 and concluded its 8-episode run on April 29, 2021.

Season 2 of the show was split into 2 pars, with the first half debuting on November 3, 2023 before going on hiatus on November 24, 2023. The show returned on March 14, 2024 and is currently airing the remaining 4 episodes of season 2, which will conclude next week, on April 4, 2024.

As you can see, there's been some plenty lengthy waits between the show's seasons but showrunner Simon Racioppa has promised that the wait for season 2 won't be as long.

Speaking to The Direct, he stated, "Amazon picked up two and three together. So, we are deep in Season 3 at this point. So I can't tell you exactly [when], but I can tell you it will not be the same wait between [seasons] 1 and 2... We're well in progress on Season 3, and it's coming along great."

While avoiding specifics, Racioppa also provided a teaser for what's in store for Mark and the rest of the Invincible crew in season 3.

"Half the fun of Season 3 is like, 'Oh my God, we have to deal with all the stuff that happened in Season 2 and all that ramifications of that, all of the reverberations of that, all the trauma from that' And how does that change our characters going forward? So that's really fun because we have these new challenges for our characters in Season 3… So it's like, how do we keep all the previous seasons still relevant and in our minds, and in our character's minds when we go forward? So that's super fun and exciting."
