The 50th Annie Awards were held last night at UCLA’s Royce Hall and you can view the full list of nominees and winners below.
Out of 32 categories, Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio was nominated 9 times and took home 5 awards, including Best Feature Film. The Netflix, sci-fi animated anthology series Love, Death + Robots was another big winner on the night, taking home 4 awards. Given the sweeping success of GdT's Pinocchio, the film is an odds-on favorite to win the Best Animated Feature award at this year's Oscars, taking place on March 12.
The Annie Awards are an awards ceremony hosted by the Los Angeles branch of the Association Internationale du Film d'Animation, ASIFA-Hollywood which recognizes excellence in animation across television, film, and video games. The nominations and winners are determined by ASIFA members.
