Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield are just a month away from releasing, finally becoming available on the 15th of November for the Nintendo Switch; bringing with them some classic staple elements of the franchise and even adding new ones.

One of these new elements are the Gigantamax transformations, which will see Pokémon growing to gigantic sizes and learning brand-new moves to fight other Pokémon and making battles even more impressive — while also adding another layer to the game's combat system.

The latest trailer for Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield focuses on these Gigantamax forms, and Nintendo has also revealed that players who purchase either of the games before the 15th of January will get access to an exclusive Gigantamax Meowth.

Similarly, players who already have play records of Pokémon Let's Go, Pikachu! or Pokémon Let's Go, Eevee! on ther Nintendo Switch will also get an exclusive Gigantamax Pikachu or Gigantamax Eevee depending on the version they own.

Take a look:

Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield will be set in Galar, an expansive region with many environments—idyllic countryside, contemporary cities, thick forests, and craggy, snow-covered mountains. The people and Pokémon live together in this region, and they’ve worked together to develop the industries here.

Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield will be available for the Nintendo Switch on the 15th of November.
