FRIENDS And BOOKSMART Star Lisa Kudrow Lands The Lead Role In Fox's Animated Series THERAPY DOG
Saturday Night Live star Vanessa Bayer was previously set to voice the title character, but now a new report reveals that Lisa Kudrow (Friends) has landed the lead role in Fox's animated series Therapy Dog.
Between the likes of The Simpsons and Family Guy, Fox is already the home of several popular animated series, and it looks like their slate of animated projects will expand once again with the forthcoming arrival of Therapy Dog.
And now, according to Deadline, Fox's latest show has cast Friends and BoJack Horseman star Lisa Kudrow as the title character, a poodle mix named Honey that was previously set to be voiced by Vanessa Bayer (SNL).
As the name suggests, Therapy Dog will follow Honey as she "leads group therapy sessions with the neighborhood animals as they work through issues with their owners and one another." All the while, Honey attempts to find some happiness of her own.
Along with writers Clea DuVall, Jennifer Crittenden and Gabrielle Allan, Sharon Horgan and Clelia Mountford will serve as executive producers on the series.
