20th Century Fox studio is reportedly developing a movie based on their second most renowned animated family: The Griffins.

That's right. Apparently Fox are looking to make a movie based on their long-running, irreverent animated TV show Family Guy. The film will make use of the show's typical animation style but, oddly, also include live-action elements. Disney's impending purchase of the studio is evidently not preventing Fox from pursuing new projects.

The recent report by Wall Street Journal unfortunately doesn't include any plot details. It's probably safe to assume that, similar to 2007's The Simpsons movie, the cast of voice actors and characters from the show will bleed over into the cinematic endeavour. The show, and most likely the movie, stars Seth MacFarlane (as Peter Griffin, Brian Griffin, Stewie Griffin), Alex Borstein (as Lois Griffin), Mila Kunis (as Meg Griffin), Seth Green (as Chris Griffin).

What do you think about the prospect of a Family Guy movie? Any speculation regarding the film's "live-action elements"?
