Netflix recently added a former Nickelodeon executive to their roster of talent! According to Kidscreen, Netflix has hired the former Nickelodeon International Animation VP Alexi Wheeler to undertake an undisclosed position on the Kids and Family International Original's team.

Alexi Wheeler started working for the kid's television network Nickelodeon back in 2010 as a programming manager where he worked his way up over the years to Vice President of animation production and development at Nickelodeon International. Some of the television shows he’s worked on in the past include Peppa Pig, Ben and Holly’s Little Kingdom, Nella the Princess Knight, and Fireman Sam.

At Nickelodeon, Wheeler also had a hand in creating the Nickelodeon International Shorts Program and the International Preschool Shorts Initiative. He’s joining Netflix just as they're adding more international kids series to their programming, including the adaptation of the Dutch medieval novel Letter for the King, which is currently being developed into a Netflix Original television series.

Wheeler will begin his post at Netflix come September at the streaming company’s London office.
